Still Having So Much Fun Making Music

Since 1978, Sharon Hampson has been singing for families across North America as a member of the trio ‘Sharon, Lois and Bram’.

Together , the threesome produced over twenty-two recordings. They have appeared in every major concert hall in Canada and many in the United States, including Carnegie Hall., the Lincoln Center and the White House in Washington.

The trio received countless awards awards including Gold and Platinum records, JUNO awards for the Best Children’s Album, the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award on behalf of UNICEF and a ‘Doctor of Humane Letters’ degree from Mount Saint Vincent university.

Sharon and Bram carried on together as a duo when Lois stepped aside from live performing in 2000. Sharon and her daughter Randi and her grandsons recently started sharing the music of Sharon, Lois and Bram with yet another generation of fans and friends, performing together and virtually since Bram’s retirement in 2020.

Sharon received the YWCA 2007 ‘Woman of Distinction Award’ in the area of Health. The award was given for ‘fighting for the health of Canadian women in the breast cancer community and singing her way into the hearts of children’.

Sharon, Lois and Bram Best of the Best Live their first album in 20 years, was released in the fall of 2021. Other creative ventures include the JUNO-nominated album, Sharon & Bram and Friends and the Penguin Random House picture book Sharon, Lois & Bram’s Skinnamarink,  an award-winning best seller with more than 70,000 copies sold since its 2019 publication. A new book, Sharon, Lois & Bram’s One Elephant Went Out to Play is scheduled to be released in August of 2022 along with a new sing-along single of the book.
