Western University President: Establishing a Positive Relationship between Western and the Community

Alan Shepard arrived at Western in July 2019 as the 11th President and Vice – Chancellor. Previously he served the same role at Concordia University in Montreal. He has a doctorate degree in English and is the author or editor of three books, and many articles that focus on the future of innovation and the future of universities. Dr. Shepard is actively involved in the community, including organizations such as Universities Canada and Stratford Festival of Canada. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the London Economic Development Corporation.
