He will be our Youth Speaker on Thursday October 8\, 2015 at Centennial Hall. Jackson is the son of Katherynne and Richard Martin and has been in 17 films\, mostly shorts. He attended the Cannes Film Festival in the spring of 2015\, for the world premieres of 2 feature films: “Sleeping Giant”\, directed y Andrew Cividino\, and “Boy”\, directed by Melanie Chung. He was the lead in both films. The feature film “Sleeping Giant” made its North American premiere at TIFF on September 15 to a standing ovation.

Ellen was born in March 2003 and will enter grade 7 in September. She lives in Thorndale with her parents and 2 younger brothers. Ellen is passionate about acting\, singing\, and dancing and also loves to swim. She recently completed her first musical; Charlotte’s Web with Original Kids Theatre Company and will start on her second one this fall. In 2004 she advanced to the singing competition at the Western Fair and has qualified again for 2015. Ellen also enjoys public speaking and has advanced to the finals at her school several times.
